We observe nowadays that there are hundreds of published works regarding physical health but there are only a few that focus on improving good mental health when in fact it should be given first priority. The brain function is affected by what we think by what we are feeling and by the way we are behaving. A person who has poor mental health would hardly think of improving one’s overall health when they are not even able to control their thoughts and emotions in order to live fulfilling lives.

People with good mental health can become optimistic despite the many challenges in life. They are resilient and can find a number of ways to make a negative situation work for them. Negative thinking can lead someone to depression that can become fatal. It can affect the way the bodily organs work. Depression increases stress and weakens the resolve of the individual affected. Some people go to the extremes of taking their own life.

What is mental health?

Mental health is how you feel about the way you are, the quality of relationships around you and the ability to manage problems and feelings. It is more than just being able to overcome depression, anxiety and other psychological issue but also the ability to avoid negative thinking.

People who have good mental health have a certain healthy degree of contentment that is not based purely on material wealth. They are able to remind themselves of the good things in life. People who have good mental health have something to look forward too. They have a purpose that is not limited to their religious view and cultural background and family issues.

Individuals who have good mental health have fairly good self-esteem without leading to vanity and can easily adapt to changes in the environment and people around them.

good mental health

Being mentally and emotionally healthy does not simply mean overcoming the bad times and stress rather the ability to rise again after big challenges in one’s career, life and society. It is the ability to balance emotions and to still find something worth doing and loving despite of it all. It is the ability to control and decide where to focus once energy. It is the ability to have a goal despite traumatic events without becoming too robotic and monotonous.

Not many individuals pay attention to the needs of the body, but one lacking vitamin can result to dangerous deficiencies. The lack of vitamin D in the body can weaken the bones and hinder the normal functioning of the nervous system as well as bone density. Humans need vitamin D for proper calcium balance, this vitamin is also crucial for cellular differentiation. This means that the body needs it to heal itself faster. Vitamin D is good for patients who have undergone major surgeries.

Like vitamin C, vitamin D is also powerful in boosting the immunity of the body. It can reduce the occurrence of common coughs and colds and can prove to be very effective for diabetic patients. It plays a crucial role in insulin secretion. If you lack vitamin D, you can suffer from adverse effects of insulin secretion and glucose tolerance that leads to type 2 diabetes. However, more research is being done in order to prove the connection between the two.

Most illnesses occur due to stress. By learning how to identify the sources of stress in your life and reducing it you can find a way to avoid getting sick the natural way. The main source of stress is not that easy to detect however it would be worth it to find out the stress inducing thoughts and occurrence that lead you to it. Perhaps it is not really the job that you have or the people around you. It might not even be your family but the whole perspective that you are bringing into your life. Many have the tendency to blame others for the stresses in their life but forget to look closely at their own attitudes, excuses and habits.

People need to learn how to take the time. There are those who spend hundreds of hours working and telling themselves that gaining material wealth is the only thing that is important to them. Many identify money and gadgets as a source of happiness only to find out that they really just want a simple life and that they could be contented with it.

Some just need to take the time off and detoxify, to relax and give a time for reflection. In order to avoid stress a person has to take responsibility for what is happening in their life and take control, even though it is true that outside forces has a lot to do with the present moment, the right perspective can change it.

avoid stress

For people who don’t know where to start and who cannot identify their source of stress, it would be good to have a stress journal or have a good friend they can talk to—someone who is not biased and who can give them advice on how to start thinking more positively. Find healthy ways to cope with stress. Avoid smoking or drinking too much. Although these provide temporary relief, they are not the best solution if you are aiming for good health. Overeating or seeing food as the solution to the problem would also just worsen the condition; so does under eating. The key is to learn to balance one’s life and to find ways to stay active without zoning out other needs.

How can positive thinking help people become healthier?

positive thinking

Positive thinking involves having the idea that a person has a level of control over a disease. This is especially true for people suffering from high risk diseases. There are a lot of illnesses nowadays that cannot be cured by medicines alone. Some conditions are hardly bearable. The only comfort that people have is the ability to become optimistic that something can be done to change it. The idea that a person can conquer anything evens cancer or other risky diseases just by believing.

Over thinking, worrying and self-defeating attitudes can add stress to any individual. People who are more optimistic tend to lead more stable and happy lives according to a research done by Ben-Gurion University.

Women who have faced death in the family or divorce are more likely to have breast cancer than those who had happy marriages. More and more claims are coming out regarding the benefits of positive thinking to overall well being. General feelings of happiness and optimism in a person can play a protective role. For one thing, stress cannot trigger any reactions in the body that can cause inflammation and other tremors.

How Positive Thinking Helps

People who start their day upbeat, jolly and full of vitality have a higher chance of motivating and inspiring themselves to move and perform more. They also have a better chance of surviving tasks despite muscle spasm and pain. People who have heart disease and who tend to surround themselves with a happier environment tend to prevent attacks.

positive thinking

A better mood can reduce panic and heart attack although there is no scientific explanation as to why. It could be possible that many things that are happening in the body have a lot to do with what is happening with the brain. By simply shifting thoughts into more positive ones, a person can improve their well being.

A patient who is optimistic has a higher chance of sticking through a treatment plan. They would have patience and confidence that things will get better despite the challenges that are coming along their way.

One third of all Americans have been diagnosed with some kind of eye disease by the time they turn 65. Seniors should make sure they get an annual check-up from their eyecare specialist, because they can detect diseases early (that maybe even your doctor missed). When it comes to eye diseases, the following are the “big four” which threaten seniors the most.

Cataracts

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in your eye that can lead to blindness if not treated. Cataracts are a common problem faced by seniors as they age, and over half of all Americans have had to deal with cataracts by age 80. Signs you have cataracts include:

Blurry vision

Faded colors

Sensitivity to light

Poor night vision

And double vision.

If you have cataracts, you can try dealing with the symptoms, such as by wearing sunglasses around bright lights and increasingly stronger eyeglasses. But if the problem continues to worsen, you will need cataract surgery. Fortunately, the operation is relatively routine and most procedures to remove cataracts are completely successful.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve and is a major cause of blindness in the United States. African Americans are particularly at risk, as are those with a history of diabetes or whose family members have had glaucoma. Over three million Americans suffer from it, but many are not aware. Glaucoma usually does not manifest any symptoms in early stages. As it gets worse, your field of vision will narrow, but very slowly, so it may be hard to detect.

If you manage to catch glaucoma early, it may be fought with medication. Beyond a certain point, surgery will be necessary. Nothing, however, can reverse the vision loss that has already occurred.

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

Age-related Macular Degeneration blurs your central vision. If you notice your vision has become blurry, you may have AMD and should ask your doctor. Women, smokers, those with high cholesterol, and those over 75 are among the most at-risk groups.

Treatment can delay or even halt AMD if the disease is caught early. Most forms of AMD cannot be treated in the advanced stages, although some can.

Diabetic Eye Disease

Diabetes is a major health problem in America, and those who suffer from it are far more likely to suffer vision problems than those who do not. Diabetes not only comes with its own set of eye diseases, it increases the risks of cataracts and glaucoma as well.

Millions of diabetes sufferers are unaware they even have the disease. If you learn that do, make sure you never miss your annual eyecare checkups, as they are now especially needed to catch the early warning signs of diabetes-related eye disease. By catching things early, your doctor will likely be able to prevent any serious complications.

Your body has enormous untapped healing abilities. These abilities are often suppressed by unconscious beliefs and programming, and by energies in your body’s energetic field. Start having more health, vitality, and joy in being alive by using NLP.

There are 5 steps in which you can use NLP to enhance your health. If you are very experienced in working with the human energy field, you may have your own way to do these eight processes. Important note: This is not intended to replace medical treatment; it is intended to compliment it.

Here are 5 ways to use NLP to promote your health, vitality, and ability to heal:

1. Clear your energy field

You collect energies as you go through the day. It can make you feel very tired, unclear on what you want, and it can suck the joy out of life. Also, other people’s energies negatively affect your decision making, and influence the goals you set for yourself in life.

Meditation is the best way to clear your energy field. If you do it when you first wake up, you will, feel energized and ready to start the day. Doing it before you go to sleep will make it easier to fall asleep and increase the amount of deep rest. It only takes a minute and a half to do it!

2. Run universal energy through your body.

Along with earth energies, there are powerful healing energies that come from other sources. They are especially useful for healing and enhancing the psychological and spiritual aspects of your health. These amazing energies can also be used to remove other people’s energy, old emotions, limiting beliefs, unconscious programming, and other energies from your energy field.

3. Increase your “Havingness” for health

Your havingness is how much of something (health, love, money, success, joy, etc.) you are unconsciously programmed to let yourself actually have. This concept may be easier to understand if you think in terms of something more tangible such as money. Obviously, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, and Warren Buffet are examples of people who are programmed with very high havingness for wealth.

4. Clear unconscious liming beliefs and programming on health

We all have been unconsciously programmed on health and healing. For example, beliefs that certain illnesses are incurable or can’t be improved. Or that you will get arthritis as you age. Or that your health is determined by your genetics and that can’t be changed. NLP has many powerful processes for clearing limiting beliefs and programming on health. You can also use the energetic processes downloaded from the site listed at the bottom of the article to clear limiting beliefs.

5. Clear energetic programming on health

Energy contains information. If that seems surprising, remember that computers, CDs, DVDs, mobile phones, radar, wireless Internet, satellites, radio stations, and cable TV all use forms of energy to transmit information from one place to another. The information in the energy in your energy field includes programming that has a profound effect on your health. After you clear the energetic programming, you will much greater access to the enormous healing abilities of your body.

I look forward to hearing about how you have used these processes to increase your health and vitality!

The rest of the times I would have a retrograde ejaculation (ejaculate inwards towards the bladder; harmless and you pee in out) and lose my erection.

After years of having given up on it, I ran into a sexual surrogate, and had a discussion with him on the techniques he uses to last longer during sex. He brought up the male multiple orgasm technique, but gave me a number of pointers I had never heard before.

Part of it involves learning how to REALLY work the PC muscle…and ONLY the PC muscle. A lot of people think they’re working it out, but they’re not. Your PC needs to be in tip top shape to pull off male multiple orgasms. There were also a few major adjustments towards my technique that I had to make.

I had one session where I had five orgasms with the same erection, maintaining my erection after each orgasm. This allowed me to last more than enough to make my girl orgasm.

There is a buildup between each orgasm, so each time you orgasm, it erases the tension, and you start from scratch…but you keep your erection the whole time.

Acupuncture has been around since ancient times but most people are not familiar with it, and may be scared to try it. It has been shown effective for some people for bodily aches and pains, headaches, allergies, and more. Here is an overview that may calm your fears and bring you much needed pain relief.

A good acupuncturist will help you relax; because the needles are hair thin, they don’t hurt. There is a sensation like tingling or distention-not everyone has the same feeling upon needle insertion. In order to be effective, needles stay in place about 20 minutes, or depending on type of treatment or injury.

Acupuncture is safe provided you go to a licensed professional. You should verify the practitioner is a Nationally Certified Acupuncturist. They are trained to maintain hygienically clean needles, and they must dispose of needles after one use. They are also trained where, how and for how long to insert the needles, and should have in depth knowledge of anatomy, plus general medical knowledge.

Depending again on type of injury or pain, treatments are recommended for 4 weeks or more; to be effective, the provider will recommend a treatment plan, and you should commit to the entire series of treatments. Some pain relief is noticeable after 2 sessions.

The first session includes a complete health history, both physical and emotional or mental. You are asked to bring a detailed list of all drugs, supplements or medicines you take. Sessions may last 45 to 90 minutes. It is recommended that you eat before the session, and avoid strenuous exercise the day of your appointment.

Results you should expect are a boost in energy, better mood and quality of sleep, and improved digestion. Some minor bruising of the skin is possible.

For payment options ask your health insurance provider if they cover acupuncture: Many companies do. Also inquire as to number of visits covered per year, whether you need a referral from a primary care or other physician, and what the co pay and/or deductable is.
